This recipe comes from Maine and is EXCELLENT! These cakes are so yummy they almost melt in your mouth! They're great served with a seafood pasta salad,

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 (6 oz.) can of lump crabmeat
  • 1 Tablespoon of mayo
  • 1 Tablespoon of plain mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 Tablespoon of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of parsley
  • 1 Tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon of worcestershire sauce
  • bread crumbs

 

Preparation: 

Step 1:

Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Empty can of lump crabmeat into a large bowl. Add all other ingredients, including bread crumbs which you will add until the mixture becomes dry enough to form into large patties. Mix everything together and form into patties either with your hands or shape with a fork or spoon into large round shapes.

Place patties into a frying pan with melted butter. Place each patty into a frying pan with either melted butter or oil. Fry patties turning each patty over at least once so that each side cooks evenly. Cook until golden brown on each side.
