Today's Quote

When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.

Image Some men seem to attract success, power, wealth, attainment, with very little conscious effort; others conquer with great difficulty; still others fail altogether to reach their ambitions, desires and ideals. Why is this so? Why should some men realize their ambitions easily, others with difficulty, and still others not at all? The cause cannot be physical, else the most perfect men, physically, would be the most successful. The difference, therefore, must be mental; and visualization is the mental attachment that makes it all happen.

You must be relaxed before you can begin to visualize. That said, find a room that makes you feel relaxed. Find a comfortable chair and sit in an upright, albeit, relaxed position. Now, make a conscious effort to feel each part of your body relaxing. Begin with your toes, then work your way up to the top of your head. Take slow, deep breaths while you relax. This process should take only a few minutes, although it may take longer if you are new to relaxation.

Now, on to visualizing. Many people find it difficult to create a mental picture initially, so if you are among those, don't let that concern you. Take it slowly at first. That is, after you've relaxed, picture things you see and do in everyday life. However, focus on only enjoyable things. You might picture your favorite room, or dancing with someone special, or eating your favorite meal. Doing these practice runs will help you when it comes time to visualizing more challenging images and/or situations. When you feel that your visualization has improved, you're now ready to move forward.

These are the two basic steps to the visualization process. You may want to work on these for a while before trying your first real Visualization:

  1. Decide what it is that you want. Is there something you want to change about yourself? Do you want a better job? Do you want better health? You pick your goal. You will probably want to start with "easier" goals. Ones that you believe can happen in a timely manner. You can then work up to "harder" ones.
  2. Next, picture the idea or object exactly as you want it to be. Picture yourself in the situation or using the object as if you already possessed it. Make sure you see this very clearly. You might also draw the scene to reinforce the idea, although, this step is not necessary.

Once you've got the picture in your head, think of it often. Not only when you are relaxing or meditating, but throughout the day as well. This is the process of sending that positive energy out into the universe. Remember the old saying "You reap what you sow"? Well, you're "sowing" when you think of what you want. The more positive energy you send out, the more you will get back.

Lastly, BELIEVE that the object is yours or will be yours. Any disbelief is negative energy and will counteract what you're trying to achieve. And once you see it come true, acknowledge that you made it happen! Give yourself a pat on the back!

You now have the basic information to transform your life! May you use it in health, happiness, and prosperity!
